China blocked Facebook on 7 July 2009 from the internet, not even accessible in Shanghai. As some of you might know, Twitter and Blogspot have been cut off prior to June 4 2009. Nevermind wordpress.

What will happen to those Chinese dependents on those service? Fear not : To those living in China, Facebook = Kaixin001.com , Twitter = zuosa.com , blogspot = blog.163.com . They are truly equivalent so most people do not depend on the US originals, so the ordinary people will be unlikely to sense the GFW in action, but … those who are reading now.

It is evident that despite the failure to trojan all computers with Green Dam, the efforts to hinder information freedom must persevere.

It is impressive and also depressive to see George Orwell’s Ministry of Truth in action.
